The Israeli government approved the demolition of the family home of a Palestinian who carried out a shooting attack in Tel Aviv before he was killed, and the home of a Palestinian detainee believed to be behind a shooting attack targeting Israeli soldiers near Nablus.
In a statement, the army said that the head of the military’s Central Command has approved demolishing the family home of Mo’taz Khawaja, 22, from Ni’lin town, west of the central West Bank city of Ramallah.
The army said Khawaja was killed on March 9th after carrying out a shooting attack in Tel Aviv; the military still holds Osama’s corpse and refuses to transfer it to his family for burial.
Furthermore, the army decided to demolish the home of Osama Tawil, whom the army abducted on February 20, after he reportedly shot an Israeli soldier near Nablus, in the northern West Bank, in February.
The army invaded Tawil’s family home and took measurements of the property, in the northern West Bank city of Nablus, in preparation for wiring and detonating it.
